Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has invited online applications for the recruitment of Artisan posts across its various manufacturing units under Advertisement No. 01/2026. A total of 660 vacancies are available in different trades including Fitter, Welder, Turner, Machinist, Electrician, Electronics Mechanic and Foundryman for the Artisan Recruitment Year 2027. Eligible Indian citizens can submit their applications online through the official BHEL website careers.bhel.in starting from 19th October 2026. The last date for application submission is yet to be notified while the tentative examination is scheduled for December 2026. Candidates must have passed Class 10th along with National Trade Certificate (NTC/ITI) and National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) in the relevant trade with minimum 60 percent marks for General and OBC candidates and 55 percent marks for SC and ST candidates in both NTC/ITI and NAC. The upper age limit as on 01 October 2026 is 27 years for General/EWS, 30 years for OBC (NCL) and 32 years for SC/ST with age relaxation as per the official notification. The selection process involves a computer based examination consisting of 120 objective type multiple choice questions covering trade related topics, engineering calculations and reasoning with negative marking applicable. Upon successful completion of the temporary period candidates will be regularized as Artisan Grade-IV in the pay scale of Rs. 29,500 to Rs. 65,000 with applicable allowances.
