The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has officially released the Preliminary Result for the Common Recruitment Process for Specialist Officers (CRP SO/SPL-XVI) 2026 on its official website. This recruitment drive is being conducted for a total of 1405 Specialist Officer posts across various participating public sector banks. The online application process for IBPS SO XVI commenced on 01 July 2026 and the last date for registration was extended till 26 July 2026. Candidates were also given an opportunity for form correction from 29 July 2026 to 30 July 2026. The minimum age limit required for this recruitment is 20 years and the maximum age is 30 years as on 01 July 2026, with age relaxation applicable as per government rules. The Preliminary Examination was held in August 2026 and the admit cards for the same were made available from 20 August 2026. The Pre Result has now been declared on 15 October 2026 and is available for download. Candidates who appeared in the prelims exam can check their qualifying status using their login credentials. The selection process includes Prelims Written Exam, Mains Written Exam, Interview, Document Verification and Medical Examination. Eligible candidates who qualify the prelims will be shortlisted for the next stage of the recruitment process.
